Ryan Shand is the Co-Owner of Shand Design, working alongside her mother, Susan Shand, on boutique residential and hospitality projects across California. With a background that bridges design and operations, Ryan brings a thoughtful, structured approach to guiding projects from concept through completion.

Known for her ability to oversee complex design processes with clarity and care, Ryan draws on her experience scaling high-growth companies and leading creative teams. Her past roles include serving as Chief Operating Officer at Beni, being an early team member at Honey (acquired by PayPal), and leading curation at Saatchi Art through its acquisition. At Shand Design, Ryan holds the process for clients—ensuring each project is executed seamlessly, collaboratively, and with an elevated level of service..

THEEKSHI PERERA

PROJECT DESIGNER

Theekshi is an Project Designer at Shand Design, passionate about creating functional, comfortable, and personal spaces. With five years of design experience in Qatar's dynamic environment, she honed her design skills and holds a BFA in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. Theekshi’s service-learning trips to Thailand, Indonesia, and Greece reinforced her belief in the profound impact of good design, especially in constrained environments. She firmly believes that designers have the power to influence people both physically and emotionally through what they create.

JUNIOR DESIGNER

Rebecca brings valuable experience from working with some of Santa Barbara’s top design firms, where she honed her skills in project management, design development, and budget coordination. With a background spanning both residential and commercial projects, she excels in bringing organization, creativity, and efficiency to every phase of the design process. Rebecca’s thoughtful approach and attention to detail make her an integral part of the Shand Design team.
